- This model is intentionally rustic and has a distressed finish
- The bottom of the birdhouse is made of two pieces of reclaimed lumber, leaving some possible gaps in the design.
- Purple martin experts say that you will need at least 10 ' to 12' tall post above the ground in an open space.
- If using it for any other birds, then you will need at least a 6' post if you are not using the planter.
- If using a planter, any size post will work.
